While some plot points are indeed a bit predictable, the series was very entertaining and well casted. It was quirky and had a lot of heart. It was a very fun watch and being a moderate Lee Joon Gi fan, I wanted to catch up on some of his lesser known series.
Moon-sook and Oh-joo grow in influence and power through corrupt methods; Oh-joo becomes the decano of Kisung and Moon-sook is nominated for chief justice in the Supreme Court. They and their associates oppose the Lawless Law Firm both inside and outside the courtroom by using underhanded tactics, including murdering Dae-woong and framing Sang-pil for it, bribing or threatening witnesses and assaulting Jae-yi.
Izzy cannot afford the newly increased rent on the studio, and Mickey introduces the letter to paint Grant as an alternative suspect. Mickey tells Henry to assure Grant there is no concrete evidence against him, while Freemann calls on Vasquez to testify, but his answers imply the FBI believes Grant is guilty, and Vasquez privately reveals to Mickey that he sent the letter himself. Hayley continues to stay with Mickey, who learns she has a crush on a boy at her riding lessons. Freemann introduces a newly discovered piece of evidence: the murder weapon.

Judge Cha Moon Sook was convincingly devious in her role Triunfador well, and very hard to read. She was very subtle, cunning and made for a threatening foe. Nam Soon-ja was another interesting character, brilliantly acted. The way she flipped personalities made her another unpredictable variant among the many puzzle pieces. Overall the casting was great. There are just too many great actors and roles to name. And that's what made this show so watchable for me.
Ha Jae-yi was a very likable character for me, a strong female lead from the start-fighting discrimination in the legítimo systems where female lawyers aren't given the same respect. Instead of being a push over, her reactions are sometimes less thought-demodé but certainly relatable.
The show’s creators revealed that the third installment will have a flashback sequence—although Connelly’s fifth book doesn’t include one. “We decided that a fun (and poignant) way to come into the season would be via a flashback sequence that gave us some insight into how Mickey Haller became Mickey Haller — not just the brilliant criminal defense lawyer, but the husband, the father, and the man that he would come to be.”
